Delighted to speak at Cobb Chamber’s International Seminar: How To Do Business in India, on Tuesday, June 13, 2023. The program featured subject matter experts discussing export opportunities to India for Georgia companies, resources their respective organizations can provide interested businesses, unique challenges in regulations and requirements, and things to consider when entering the Indian market. As Board members of the Georgia Indo American Chamber of Commerce (GIACC), the panelists shared current facts and figures of Indo-US and Indo-GA trade; the geopolitical advantages of growing this trade; GIACC’s efforts to promote business opportunities along the Indo-GA corridor by setting up a GIACC GA Trade Office in Coimbatore and hosting a delegation in October 2023, of small and medium size business owners to Atlanta, to scope out investment opportunities, and key aspects and best practices of Indian market entry by US companies; . I spoke about the Indian visa regime for companies seeking to invest and do business in India and provided a brief comparative analysis with the US immigration system of various work permit visa classifications. I provided current appointment wait times for Business Visitor visa application to the US versus that for India. The event was GIACC’s first introduction to Cobb Chamber and an effort to partner and collaborate on future events and programs.
