GIACC concluded a successful GATE 2022 (GIACC Atlanta Trade Event) on October 6, at the Gwinnett Business Chamber, GA as an in-person and virtual event. Our panel of experts spoke on the legal, banking immigration, tax and accounting aspects of opening a foreign business in Georgia. The Consul General of India, Atlanta, Dr. Swati Kulkarni, spoke of her advocacy for establishing a Georgia Trade office In India. Representatives from GA Economic Development and the Governor’s Office highlighted the advantages and incentives for Indian companies to set up operations in GA. The Chief Guest, Senior Senator of Georgia, Jon Ossof, fresh from a recent visit to India, stressed his efforts to encourage Indo-GA trade and bilateral cooperation in various sectors. Regarding the huge US visa backlogs and delays in scheduling of visa appointments for Indian business owners and entrepreneurs, he promised the support of his office to expedite appointments for worthy cases.
