Global migration impact on U.S. Third Country National (TCN) visa processing

Delighted to moderate AILA GMS’ first Quarterly Section Call of 2022, today in my capacity as Vice Chair of AILA GMS and liaison to AILA’s overseas chapters. The call featured a joint discussion with the AILA overseas chapters about the global migration impact on U.S. Third Country National (TCN) visa processing. The purpose of the call was to highlight the TCN Survey released by AILA GMS covering the impact of global migration on 13 countries that are third-country national (TCN) friendly for U.S. consular processing. US attorneys serving as Discussion Leaders (DLs) from the overseas chapters and AILA International Associates from Turkey, Poland, Germany, Columbia, Mexico, Chile, and Singapore, spoke to the issues of suspension of US consular processing in certain countries, as most recently in Russia; TCN friendly countries designated by US Department of State for various third country nationals; visa/admission requirements for temporary visits to these countries to consular process for US visas; and current COVID-19 protocols in these countries. Very grateful for the collaboration with the overseas chapters, participation of subject matter experts from diverse jurisdictions, and enthusiasm of AILA membership resulting in record attendance for the Webinar!
